Nusantara is a new multi-venue dining concept set within Nuanu Creative City, created to celebrate the depth, diversity, and regional richness of Indonesian cuisine. Designed as a cultural and culinary destination rather than a single restaurant, Nusantara brings together distinct venues under one vision, each offering its own expression of Indonesian food and hospitality. The project reflects a growing movement towards thoughtful, experience-led dining in Bali.

At the heart of Nusantara is its founder, James Ephraim, a familiar name in Bali’s hospitality scene. James is best known as the concept creator of Shishi, where he helped redefine nightlife and dining by blending strong branding, elevated design, and carefully curated experiences. More recently, he also created Luna Beach Club, one of Nuanu’s flagship destinations, with Nusantara located just a short walk away. With Nusantara, his focus shifts towards celebrating Indonesian culture and cuisine through a more layered, long-term concept.

From the outset, the Nusantara team recognised the importance of building a strong foundation for the brand ahead of launch. With a vision that spans multiple venues, audiences, and touchpoints, they sought a marketing partner capable of shaping both strategy and execution from the ground up. This led to a collaboration with Flow Digital, who have been appointed to spearhead the marketing for the project.

Flow Digital is supporting the launch across brand, digital, and marketing strategy, working closely with the Nusantara team to ensure a cohesive and scalable presence from day one. The work spans early brand development through to launch planning, with a focus on clarity, positioning, and long-term growth rather than short-term hype. The goal is to build a brand that feels considered, authentic, and built to last.

The collaboration is already underway, beginning with the development of the Nusantara logo. From initial concept exploration through to final execution, the identity has been shaped to reflect both the cultural roots of the project and its contemporary setting within Nuanu. This marks the first tangible milestone in bringing the Nusantara vision to life.

Next steps will see the project move towards launch, followed by phased marketing activity as the venues open and the concept evolves. Further updates will be shared as Nusantara prepares to welcome its first guests and establish itself as a new destination for Indonesian dining in Bali.
